Harbor Night Shoot

The Santa Barbara Harbor presents a special opportunity for photography, especially during the late evening hours and night. The sunset over the water, the colorful boats and fishing gear, the views of Santa Barbara from the pier, and the abstract reflections in the water provide some good opportunities to develop your photography skills. Bring a tripod, but keep in mind that the images are not perfectly still, so you may need to use a higher ISO and shutter speed when the light is low.
