The Channel City Camera Club
A community of photographers living in, or connected to, Santa Barbara since 1939. Our mission is to provide an association for the mutual enjoyment of photography and to encourage the advancement of its members in the knowledge, practice, and skill of photography.
We have Juried exhibitions on the first Wednesday evening every month except January, August, and December and all our other meetings are on Tuesdays, so you will need to check the calendar… Some of our meetings and programs currently meet via Zoom… and other meetings are held occasionally in person. The club has members in several states and we welcome anyone interested in creating or enjoying photography. Occasionally we may have a 3rd meeting.

Exhibitions
Photography exhibitions are held on the first Wednesday of the month. The club holds exhibitions in four categories in digitally projected images each month (except August, December and January). Two professional photographers and one club member critique the images and provide constructive feedback as well as scoring them for consideration for the Annual Awards. These meetings are all held via Zoom.
Programs
Photography programs are held on the third Tuesday of the month. The subjects range from photographic techniques to digital photography and provide a learning experience as well as visual enjoyment. The speakers are experienced club members and recognized professional photographers.
4th Tuesday Programs Education/Training Night
The fourth Tuesday has been temporally suspended.
Field Trips
Field trips enable members to join other photographers in photographing interesting sites and viewing photographic exhibits.
Print Shows
The club participates in several art exhibits in Santa Barbara displaying members’ prints in gallery environments.
Special Interest Groups
We have a Bird and Landscape Photography Special Interest Group, as well as a Street Photography Special Interest Group. You can find more information about this in our Angle Newsletter.
Social Events
A summer barbecue offers a relaxed social gathering for members and their families. A winter awards event honors members for their contributions and submitted images throughout the previous year. This night also includes video presentations by members on topics of their choosing. And of course, refreshments.
Join Us
The public is always welcome at our meetings and there is no charge to attend. You must be a member to enter competitions and participate in field trips. Our members range from beginning photographers to advanced amateurs. If you want to join us, please fill out the Membership Application and Event Waiver.
