Her work explores memory\, history\, and the emotional resonance of interior and architectural spaces\, often placing the female figure within layered visual narratives that examine identity\, time\, and perception. \nHadley holds degrees in art history and Italian from Georgetown University and photography from the Corcoran College / George Washington University. She has had solo exhibitions at Richard Levy Gallery in Albuquerque\, Afterimage Gallery in Dallas\, the Loyola University Museum of Art in Chicago\, the Griffin Museum of Photography in Boston\, and dnj Gallery in Santa Monica. Her work has been presented in festivals and art fairs worldwide and her images have appeared in numerous publications including Elle Italia\, Harper’s\, Le Monde\, L’Oeil de la Photographie\, Lenscratch\, and B+W Magazine. Hadley received grants from the California Center for Cultural Innovation and the Illinois Arts Council and several fellowships from the Ragdale Foundation. She currently teaches through the Los Angeles Center of Photography and Santa Fe Workshops. \nHer first monograph Lost Venice was published by Damiani Editore (Bologna) in 2020 and is held in major public collections including the National Museum of Women in the Arts\, the Getty Research Institute\, the Huntington Library\, and the Bibliothèque nationale de France. Hadley’s photographs are held in corporate and private collections worldwide.  \nHadley lives in the mountains of LA\, but treasures the ability to dip her toes in the Pacific Ocean on a regular basis. She is currently working on a project about her childhood growing up in the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. Besides being insanely convenient\, iPhones have gotten really good. You can shoot in RAW for large file size\, and you’re always working with the phone’s sophisticated built-in AI software that helps you get the best shots in all sorts of challenging situations\, and especially in tricky and low lighting. \nChuck Place is currently teaching a sold-out\, standing-room-only adult-ed class through SBCC on iPhone photography that lasts for 6 weeks. So you can believe that Chuck’s 60 minute presentation on May 19 will only scratch the surface of what he knows about the many ways to use your iPhone to get great photos. Some of the highlights will be the use of different focal length lenses\, file formats\, shallow depth of field portrait mode\, night mode and panoramic image functions.
